Vegas Cup Champions - Boca Jr.'s 92 Boys
It took more than luck for the 92 SRU Gold Boys Team to win the VEGAS CUP tournament this past weekend in Las Vegas. They battled against some very tough teams, including #5 ranked Las Vegas Premiere, whom they beat in a tense semi-final match in PK’s. The Bocas brought home the gold, taking the championship match against New York’s Blackwatch Griffins, in a 0-0 game, again winning in PKs. Congratulations, Bocas!

SRU Sol team first to set foot on Trione Fields
Largest Team Fundraising Effort!
Our U15Boys Sol team took our original team challenge to heart. Last season we asked if the teams would all pitch in and raise money for our fields. The Sol by far raised the most money of all of our teams, and therefore were awarded their very own ribbon cutting ceremony and the chance to be the very first team to set foot onto the new fields. To make the evening of Friday 10.5.7 even more special, it rained just enough to symbolize the importance of these all-weather fields and to produce the most gorgeous rainbow in the background of the boys practice. We thank this very special team!

Shock 96Girls - Ball Girls at National Game
USA v Japan

The Shock participated as Ball Girls in the recent USA Womens National Team game against Japan. They represented their team, SRU and Nike well - and we hear the girls received autographs from all of these big time stars on their SRU practice shirts, NICE!
Avalanche Impressive at Surf Cup
Avalanche made their first appearance at Surf Cup a memorable one. Although they didn’t advance to the quarter finals, the experience showed everyone just what kind of soccer SRU can play.
