The Board of Directors and Technical Staff of Santa Rosa United are excited to announce our Directors and Coordinators for the upcoming 2020/2021 Season. We are looking forward to getting back on the field and we are proud of all the staff we will have working with our players next season.
Introducing Coordinators for 2020/2021 Season
TOURNAMENT COORDINATOR We would like to congratulate Emily Scanlon who takes on the Tournament Coordinator role for the 2020 season. We will be hosting 2 weekend Tournaments for the Academy ages, 2 One Day Festivals for our U13 & U14 ECNL Boys & Girls teams and 1 One Day Festival for Recreational Programs in the surrounding area. More information to follow on all of these events. Emily will work closely with Kevin and Kim to ensure that these events are a success. In addition to this it is intended that Emily will continue her work as our SRS Coordinator providing outreach to the SRS Recreational Program who we work closely with.
ACADEMY COORDINATOR We would like to congratulate Steven Cumberton on his promotion into the U8-U12 Academy Coordinator role. Over several years with the club Steven has excelled in developing the technical skills in alot of our younger teams and now he is tasked with supporting Lee and Ralph in ensuring all Academy teams get the best start possible as part of the SRU program.
U8 COORDINATORS We are excited to launch our new U8 Program which will have a volunteer coach working closely with and learning under the guidance of Justin Selander and Jordan Anderson. With these appointments we are trying to ensure the youngest kids within our club are exposed to two of our best coaches from the very beginning. Justin will help ensure that our players will develop the necessary technical and movement foundations that are vital for players to learn at a young age. Jordan will bring his wealth of knowledge in designing and delivering reality based training which will get our young players making lots of decisions from an early age.
SKILLS & ATHLETICS COORDINATOR For several years Tyler Hurst has been one of the top coaches in the area and we are lucky to have him at Santa Rosa United and he will now take on the additional role of Skills & Athletics Coordinator. In the 2020/2021 Season it is our intention that as many kids as possible will get a chance to work with Tyler away from their regular team practices. More to follow on this exciting initiative.
SPANISH LIAISON Based on feedback from our members we have created a Spanish Liaison role within the coaching staff. We would like to congratulate Luis Castillo on taking up this role and the directors are looking forward to working with him in ensuring we represent and communicate as effectively as possible with spanish speaking community within our club.
SELECT COORDINATOR We are excited to have Jon Schwan return in his role as our Select Coordinator. In 2019 and into 2020 Jon did an excellent job in developing relationships and providing support for our Select program. We are looking forward to Jon continuing that work in 2020/2021.
