The Boys ECNL provides our membership with more meaningful matches (potential promotion/relegation), meaning that they’ll be playing for more. With increased competition, we’ll be igniting a competitive spark in our players.

Clubs play a vital part in the development of a person/player but our coaches are the leaders: responsible for setting the standards and showing the way. SRU has put together a coaching staff that we feel is the best in the North Bay to compete in the Boys ECNL.
INCREASE VISIBILITY
Our mission as a club in the Boys ECNL is to make sure that we are not only developing people first & players second, but also putting them in a position to succeed: where they can secure college opportunities. The Boys ECNL provides immeasurable college exposure.
ECNL NATIONAL SHOWCASES & REGIONAL EVENTS
The second part of increasing the visibility of our players is the Boys ECNL National Events (Showcases) & Regional Events, this allows College scouts from across the country to gather, watch & gain insight into our players. This eventually leads to commitments.
ADDED POSTSEASON VALUE
Teams from each Conference within the Boys ECNL have the opportunity to qualify for the National Playoffs, providing an added layer of postseason play & exposure for teams.

Regular season is played out through 18 games
1 or 2 National Events for ages 15 & older
(U15 & U19 = 1 Event / U16 & U17 = 2 Events)
2 Regional NorCal Showcases (U16-U19)
1 (or 2) Regional Event(s) for U13 & U14
NorCal State Cup (U13-U19)
ECNL Conference SuperCup (x1 team U15-U19 players)
ECNL Conference Selection Program (CSP) for U15-U19
PDP, ODP, id2 & USYNTC’s are all available in the ECNL
Permitted to attend other tournaments
A platform of play that starts at U13 and goes to U19
Ability to play in NorCal state cup
Ability to play in NorCal League with other teams in the club
Permitted to play in the High School season without restriction
Postseason Showcase (for teams that qualify)

When it comes to being a part of the ECNL, college soccer is the target destination for almost every single player in our club. This is the goal of the league and a goal of our club: develop people/players for collegiate programs.
